What Are Groups?

Groups reflect your organizational structure—the departments, functional teams, and core working groups that make up your company's foundation. They serve as stable, persistent environments where teams communicate, collaborate, and work together on an ongoing basis.

Key Characteristics

• Hierarchical structure: Department-based teams (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, etc.)
• Clear reporting hierarchies and defined roles: Everyone knows their position and responsibilities
• Persistent organizational units: Groups exist as long as the team exists
• Static membership with defined leaders: Consistent team composition with established leadership
• Ongoing communication and updates: Daily collaboration and information sharing
