What Is WethosAI?

WethosAI brings over 30 years of behavioral science research to your fingertips through AI. The platform helps individuals, teams, and organizations understand how people naturally work — and how to work better together. In under 10 minutes, you can access your Wethos Style, gain insights into your strengths and behaviors, and see how those interactions shape your group dynamic.

WethosAI delivers real-time, in-workflow coaching and intelligence — not static reports you review after the fact. It meets you where the work happens: in your profile, your team conversations, your calendar, and your documents.


The Science

WethosAI is built on a predictive behavioral assessment focused on team performance. The empirical research behind the platform identified four highly consistent activities that impact how groups function. The assessment analyzes 84 items across these four areas and produces actionable, objective feedback. Results demonstrate excellent internal consistency and construct validity, supported by Exploratory Factor Analyses (EFA), Multi-Trait Multi-Method (MTMM) Matrix, and Confirmatory Factor Analyses (CFA).

The core philosophy is Situational Contingency Theory — there is no single "best" style. Only the right style for the specific moment and context.


The Assessment

WethosAI offers three onboarding paths:

LinkedIn Profile Connection — Instant results, zero time investment. Best for getting started quickly.

Rapid 8-Question Assessment — 1 minute. A balance of speed and accuracy.

Comprehensive 84-Question Assessment — 10 minutes. The most detailed, nuanced, and accurate option.

After completing any path, WethosAI produces your Wethos Style — a four-digit code (e.g., 4535) that becomes the foundation for all insights, coaching, and team analytics across the platform.


The Four Scales

Your Wethos Style is defined by four scales that measure how you think, connect, execute, and structure your work.

Ideas (Practical → Visionary) — How you absorb information and express your thoughts. Are you more grounded and detail-oriented, or do you gravitate toward big-picture possibilities?

Relational (Factual → Interpersonal) — How you process emotion and engage with others. Do you lead with logic and objectivity, or with empathy and relational awareness?

Action (Methodical → Expedient) — How you pursue goals and your urgency for closure. Do you move carefully through each step, or push quickly toward outcomes?

Order (Flexible → Structured) — How you organize and complete work. Do you prefer creative flexibility, or clear routines and processes?

Each scale ranges from 1 to 5. Your results are not a fixed point — they represent a 15% default range of movement. With coaching from the platform, you can intentionally "flex" into other segments to meet the needs of different situations and teams.


Platform Features

WethosXO™

Your AI-powered workplace coach, embedded across the entire platform. XO is trained on behavioral science and your team's actual Wethos Style data, so every response is tailored — not generic.

What you can do with it:

  • Get private 1:1 coaching on communication, conflict, meeting prep, and career growth
  • Ask about any colleague's working style using @ mentions (they are never notified)
  • Summarize group discussions, surface biases, and outline next steps in team conversations
  • Generate content like agendas, feedback scripts, performance reviews, and development plans
  • Run mock conversations to prepare for difficult situations
  • Access image generation, voice playback, and copy/share functionality
  • Have fun — write poems, songs, jokes, and stories about your team's styles

XO conversations are saved automatically and can be resumed anytime. Each thread is independent and private by default.

Your personal insights hub — a mirror for self-awareness and a toolkit for working better with others.

What you can do with it:

  • View your AI-generated strengths summary and Wethos Style Graph across all four scales
  • Explore your Biases tab to see cognitive biases identified from your assessment
  • See your auto-suggested skills linked to your role
  • Access your Groups and upcoming meetings with behavioral prep prompts from XO
  • Ask XO for enriched traits and biases data from transcript analysis for a more current view
  • Visit any colleague's profile and privately ask XO how to best work with them

Groups

The structured backbone of team collaboration. Groups are persistent team spaces for daily communication, documentation, and behavioral coaching.

What you can do with it:

  • View your group's behavioral overview, cognitive diversity score, and team calendar
  • See all members' Wethos Styles and behavioral summaries at a glance
  • Identify the group's most common cognitive biases and get mitigation guidance
  • Upload documents and connect Google Drive Sync Points for centralized file management
  • Ask XO questions about the group's dynamics, strengths, and challenges
  • Use Shared Conversations for ongoing team communication with two modes: "Ask WethosXO" for AI-assisted discussion, or "Send Message to Team" for regular chat
  • Toggle conversations between Private (just you) and Public (full team visibility)

Groups come in two types: Core Groups for formal departmental teams, and Project Groups for cross-functional initiatives.


Recommend a Group

AI-powered team formation that builds balanced teams based on Wethos Styles, skills, and working patterns.

What you can do with it:

  • Define a project, set team size, and balance the criteria between behavioral diversity and skill alignment
  • Lock in mandatory members and let the AI build the rest of the team around them
  • Receive two candidate team configurations (Team A and Team B) with visual charts, behavioral profiles, and narrative summaries
  • Compare teams side by side using the Team Comparison Summary
  • Convert a recommended team directly into a Project Group

Brainstorms

Outcome-driven, time-bound workspaces for specific initiatives. Brainstorms unite the right people around defined goals with AI-assisted behavioral insight.

What you can do with it:

  • Create focused workspaces around a single initiative, decision, or meeting
  • Track participation balance with a live Engagement Score
  • Upload documents to the Artifacts panel and reference them in discussion
  • Get AI-recommended Experts who could contribute to the initiative
  • Use the Decisions Hub to capture outcomes — XO automatically generates synthesized decision summaries with key metrics (actionable items, source breakdown, contributors, and discussions merged), detailed narratives with reference markers, and refresh/audio options. You can also manually mark messages as decisions.
  • Create Breakouts for sub-topics that need deeper exploration (see below)

Breakouts

Focused sub-workspaces nested within Brainstorms. Breakouts let smaller groups dive deep on specific topics without disrupting the main discussion.

What you can do with it:

  • Spin up a Breakout for any tangent, subtopic, or issue that needs focused attention
  • Include only the teammates needed for that specific discussion
  • Run multiple Breakouts simultaneously for parallel workstreams
  • Publish results back to the parent Brainstorm for broader visibility
  • Navigate between Brainstorms and Breakouts using the Breadcrumb Trail
  • Tag XO for synthesis, bias detection, and summaries within any Breakout

Simulated Brainstorms

AI-driven deliberation environments where simulated personas debate, challenge, and explore tradeoffs before your team takes over.

What you can do with it:

  • Set up a simulation with a clear goal, team members, and supporting Artifacts
  • Watch AI personas (informed by real team members' Wethos Styles) debate pros, cons, and risks in a transparent thread
  • See decisions emerge through justified convergence — traceable reasoning from disagreement to conclusion
  • Review XO-generated decision summaries and manually marked decisions
  • Transition the completed simulation into a regular Brainstorm where your human team picks up from an informed starting point

CalendarIQ

Behavioral intelligence for your schedule. CalendarIQ links your meetings with Wethos Style data so you know not just when things are happening, but how to approach them.

What you can do with it:

  • View your meeting distribution, unscheduled blocks, and time slot occupancy from the Dashboard
  • See your top collaborators and their Wethos Styles in the Weekly Report
  • Get pre-meeting behavioral insights from XO — communication tips tailored to each attendee's style
  • Monitor one-on-one meetings, busiest/lightest days, and self-blocked time percentage

Documents

A centralized file hub within Groups for shared materials, AI-powered analysis, and behavioral profile enrichment.

What you can do with it:

  • Upload files directly or sync automatically from Google Drive using Sync Points
  • Ask XO to summarize any uploaded document
  • Reference documents in Shared Conversations — XO automatically understands the context
  • Enable Traits & Biases Analysis on meeting transcripts to enrich team members' behavioral profiles (admin only)
  • Manage Cloud Sync Points with sync-now, enable traits, view, and delete options

Traits & Biases Analysis

Dynamic profile enrichment through analysis of real meeting transcripts. Moves profiles beyond static assessments by identifying how traits and biases show up in authentic interactions.

What you can do with it:

  • Connect a Google Drive folder of meeting transcripts as a Sync Point
  • Enable analysis on synced transcripts to enrich individual profiles (admin only)
  • Ask XO for your latest traits and biases data — covering 86 behavioral traits and cognitive bias patterns
  • See shared tendencies and key differences when comparing two people's profiles
  • Track how behavioral patterns evolve over time as more transcripts are analyzed

Comfort Index

A behavioral alignment and engagement metric that helps leaders catch disengagement and friction early.

What you can do with it:

  • View your group's overall Comfort Level score and per-member comfort scores
  • See a scale-by-scale breakdown (Ideas, Relational, Action, Order) showing what's contributing to or detracting from comfort
  • Read XO-generated sentiment insights explaining why dimensions are trending
  • Drill into individual members to see their personal comfort breakdown and get coaching prompts for 1:1 conversations
  • Access contextual resources like burnout prevention guidance linked to detected patterns
  • Use proactive intervention recommendations to adjust responsibilities or communication cadence
